I bought this battery for my Tascam DR1. I carried out some battery life tests, both with the original battery (I bought the DR1 around 2008) and with the Subtel battery.
MP3 playback mode
Original battery: 6 hours
Subtel battery: 8 hours
Recording mode, using the DR1’s microphone and the 24-bit WAV format
Original battery: 4 hours, but on about 3 or 4 occasions the DR1 switched off or displayed the ‘Battery Low’ message, so it’s not very reliable for long recordings.
Subtel battery: 5 hours’ trouble-free operation.
In conclusion, an excellent product, living up to expectations.
